Berkeley County Fire
Berkeley County Fire provides staffing of two personnel trained in fire and rescue operations, EMT skills, hazardous material response and swift water rescue to assists the five volunteer fire departments in Berkeley County. This service is provided to the volunteer fire departments from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday.
Utility 90 is a pickup truck that is used to transport Boat 90 and the small trailer that houses the spill response equipment and materials. This pickup is also equipped with a snow plow to assist Berkeley County Fire, EMS and law enforcement in the event that access is limited due to snow. This pickup was donated to Berkeley County Fire by Randy Smith.
Boat 90 is an inflatable water rescue boat that is equipped with equipment associated with swift water rescue operations.
Hazmat 90 is a West Virginia Regional Response Team truck and trailer that is housed in Berkeley County that provides service to Region III that consists of Berkeley, Jefferson, Morgan, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral and Grant counties. This apparatus contains various types of emergency response, safety, testing and containment equipment to be utilized in the event of a hazardous material spill response.
